Your choices for a HealthChoices managed care plan for Medical Assistance physical health are about to change. You and other members in your household will have new plans to choose from starting June 22, 2022.

Do I have to choose a new plan?
It depends. Many people must choose a new health plan. Others can choose a plan if they want. To learn whether you need to choose a new plan, read the letter that came in the mail from PA Enrollment Services. If you did not get a letter or aren’t sure you need to change plans, call PA Enrollment Services at 1-800-440-3989 (TTY: 1-800-618-4225).
 

What do I have to do?
To choose a new plan, you must choose by August 16, 2022. Here’s what to do:

1.    Read the guide that came in the mail to compare available plans. Or go to Enroll.

2.    Make a list of the doctors, specialists, and hospitals you use.

3.    Choose a plan at Enroll. Or use our mobile app, PA Enrollment Services. Download the app on Google Play or the App Store.

Call PA Enrollment Services at 1-800-440-3989 (TTY: 1-800-618-4225). You can call us Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can get help choosing a plan. You can find out which plans have your doctors in their network.
 

What is the deadline to make a choice?
You must choose a new plan by August 16, 2022. Your new plan will start September 1, 2022.
 

What managed care plans can I choose from?
To learn about the health plans you can choose from, read the letter and guide that came in the mail from PA Enrollment Services. Or go to Enroll or use our mobile app.
 

Can I keep getting the care I need?
Yes. If you are in a treatment plan, your new managed care plan will make sure you keep getting the care you need. You can keep your current doctor for as long as 60 days. If your doctor or provider is not in your new managed care plan’s provider network, your new managed care plan will work with your doctor or provider to make sure they  keep seeing you.
 

Who in my household does this change affect?
This change applies to all members receiving Medical Assistance through the physical health HealthChoices plans. This change does not affect any household members who are covered by the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) or Dual Eligible Special Needs Plan (D-SNP).
